[tired tired tired]i feel as if i get more and more tired as the week goes on. and by right i should be able to get all the sleep that i want on the weekends, but somehow i don't. i come home at the end of the day and go into the refuge of my little room. and i don't want to leave!
or maybe that's just me... i go through periods where i don't want to go anywhere, and i don't feel like doing very much. i go to work and come home because there doesn't seem to be much else to do out there. i have to fight with crowds to get to where i'm going, fight with the crowds when i want to have dinner, and then fight with the crowds when i want to come home. hmm, maybe it's just the crowds i don't like? hahah.
or maybe i just need one night's worth of reallllly good sleep.
or maybe a night out on the town with lots of drinking and fun! i'm sure that could do the trick too.. *grins*

[my new toy!]i think deep down inside, i'm a bit of a tech geek. although even when i'm looking at new gadgets and things like that, the girl in me usually takes over and i end up saying things like 'yeah, it's a really pretty colour!' or 'but it's too big to fit in my handbag..'
so today when i was at sim lim with chad to see what was going on with the hardwarezone midnight madness, i somehow found myself buying a new digital camera. my old one's gone bust because the battery died on me, and the only way it works now is if i plug it in and use it. but that's a little hard when you want to be mobile. so ladies, and gentlemen, i am the proud owner of a new Nikon Coolpix 3700! YAY! and of course, one of the reasons i like it is because of its size. yes, it fits into my handbag :)
i also bought an optical mouse, but that's insignificant, and it wasn't even for me. hehehehe
but earlier in the day, i had a bit of girlie time with leanne and her sister when we decided to go down to paragon to attend a fashion show. i'm fascinated by fashion shows, mainly because i love looking at all the clothes and the shoes, and the bags. but also because i love looking at the models.

'she walks funny. the shoe looks like it's going to snap!'
i just can't help it!

[hard's day work]worked late today. brain kinda tired. eyes very dry. lots more work. so many things. didn't eat dinner. had big lunch. 15 more days. where's my drink. what to wear. what to bring. to-do lists. mid-week time. half way there!

i guess the cafe del mar cd wasn't soothing enough, because here i am at 205am unable to get back to sleep. it's not unusual though and once in a while i get a touch of insomnia. the only thing that makes it worse is that there's nothing good to watch on tv! *sigh*
there's a saying about pisces people - 'you can't choose them to be friends with you, they choose you to be friends with them' which until recently was just a saying to me, but i realised it's very true. when someone tries to be friends with me, i sometimes start backing off because i feel like my life is being intruded on, even if i've known the person for a while. i dno't know why it's like that because i do enjoy meeting people. but i guess i also like meeting them at my own pace... some people after i've met them, i can sit down and become great friends with them. other people i've met, and just never want to meet again, or i just want to maintain an infrequent casual contact with them.
why am i going on about this now? because yes, there is someone trying really hard for me to be friends with them, but i'm feeling more and more uncomfortable about it. but at the same time i'm too polite to say 'bugger off and leave me alone'. so i answer the questions as much as i can, and turn down the invitations politely.
you just can't lure me out of my shell, i'll come out to meet you when i'm good and ready!

[my huge ass tv]my huge ass tv is great. it's monstrous and i can see every single little detail on the screen! my huge ass tv came in a huger ass box, which i swear can fit two people inside.
but i love my huge ass tv. life is complete now!
but of course, i do have more than a life outside my tv too.. heheheh
thank goodness it's friday, because this week seems to have gone by so slowly!

[crawling by]today seems to go by sooooo slowly. it's like i've been sitting at my desk doing work, and only five minutes has passed. what happened? where's that time warp when i need it?

now i really can't wait for time to pass!

i've moved the tv outside so it's a little easier for them to take away the old one tomorrow (i'm moving the one that was in my room to the living room, and we're getting rid of the one that used to be in the living room.. anyone lost?) but now it feels kinda funny because i have nothing to watch!
the anticipation is killing me! I WANT MY TV NOW!
having said that, i'm just waiting for 8th of April too!

i like days when i don't do much.so far today i've watched tombraider the cradle of life, goldmember (and then again with mike myer's commentary!), zoolander commentary with ben stiller, and bits of the pirates of the carribbean commentary.
can you you tell i'm enjoying my new dvd player my sister got for my birthday? now i'm just waiting for the tv i bought to arrive on wednesday. i'll have a whopping 29 inch screen to look at! i think i won't ever have to leave my room when it arrives.. *grins*
but for now, it's monday again, so back to work...

[another year older]ahhh, so here i am now just one year shy of being a quarter of a decade old. i seriously can't believe that i'm 24! i can still think back to the days when i was in high school at the sweet young age of 16.
i went to the absolut vanilla launch on friday, surrounded by friends and colleagues who took the time to come and celebrate wtih me (although the absolut people don't know that! *shh*) but it was nice to sit around and just have a chat outside of the office. but don't ask me what we ended up talking about towards the end of the night because i'm not sure i'll remember properly! but hey, free drinks and good company always make for some fun :)
saturday was a time for just lazing around, and i invited some friends over to chad's place (because it's his birthday too, same day as mine!) and we sat around, chatted and watched old dvds. it's nice to just relax and unwind.
now that i'm 24, it's time to start thinking about what i want from life. mannn, i think quarter life crisis is hitting me already! *sobs*
but for now, i'm just going to go with the flow and have some fun along the way :)

[oh my goodness]i cannot believe that it's already march! i can still remember being sick during CNY like it was yesterday (erks) and having that horrible gastric attack just about a month ago (double erks). sometimes time just seems to fly by so quickly, i wonder where it's all gone!!
it's probably gone into days like yesterday, where i had a 10 hour advertorial photoshoot. i can tell you - not fun. we started at 8am, which is way too early by any standards and spent the day running around from location to location and popping in and out of stores returning stuff. i was dead tired after yesterday. and this morning i still didn't feel like i'd had enough rest to make up for it!
but thank goodness tomorrow is friday, and i'm on half day leave!
and why shouldn't i be? i'm not going to stick around in the office on my birthday.
yes that's right! happy birthday to me :)
as joycelyn says, i'm a ripe old 24.
and tomorrow night, i'm going to get hopelessly drunk to celebrate!
